Petit Mort

Welcome to Petit Mort. It is undeniable that the world is fascinated by us. Our clandestine existence has always oscillated between social progress and stigmatization. We are referenced in every form of media and have served as great muses to the arts for centuries. Yet rarely are we recognized for our contributions, spoken about in high regard, or given credit for our influence on global culture.

Sex Workers are masters of the sensory arts and many are also healers in their perspective niches. We’re creating a quarterly magazine to celebrate all that we do in physical form. Not just as companions and entertainers but as independent multidisciplinary individuals. This industry is so rich with talent and creativity. We deserve a safe space that isn’t under constant threat of censorship.

With a foundation in the the erotic arts and editorial photography we want to shine a light on our unique talents and hold a mirror to the rest of the world. We want to share our stories and fantasies in full color. We are the trendsetters. We are the movers. We are the shakers. We are sex workers.

Petit Mort

Joining me today at DommeAddiction to discuss her recent covershoot for Petit Mort is the incredible Goddess Valentina Fox. She has been feature several times at DA, and it is always a privilege to resume kneeling before the spectacularly beautiful Goddess Valentina!

slaveboysmith: How did you find out that you had been selected to be the cover model for Petit Mort Magazine’s first edition?

Goddess Valentina Fox: I actually worked with them on a few of the shoots as a makeup artist before I did My shoot! They asked Me during one of those shoots to do a feature on Me as a Findom and, of course, I was ecstatic! But, I don’t think they decided on Me as the cover girl until we did My shoot and we were all so proud of how beautifully everything came together.

sbs: What does it mean for you to be the face of the first edition of a magazine that celebrates sex workers?

GVF: I am so proud to be Petit Mort’s first cover! It really is such a creative, groundbreaking magazine that I know will educate, inspire, and show off how talented and multidimensional sex workers are. They have already featured so many amazing people who have such different insights to share including tax advice, an article about sex workers as parents and giving birth, conversations about being queer and finding your confidence, information about cleansing rituals, how to make your home “camera ready”, poems, conversations on mental health working in the industry, and so much more.

They have truly blown my mind with how much amazing content they were able to fit into just their first issue! I know what’s to come will only be better and better.

sbs: What can we expect in upcoming editions of Petit Mort, and might this not be the last time we see Goddess Valentina gracing their pages?

GVF: I know the two women behind this publication very well and one of the main things I admire about both of them is their constant creative flow! They are ALWAYS brainstorming and coming up with new interviews or shoot ideas. I think I’ve told you before that I’m a licensed esthetician and pro makeup artist aside from My Domme work, and they’ve asked Me about doing some beauty reviews/advice that I am so excited about! This magazine really is so educational and helpful for sex workers who are trying to become a jack-off-all-trades with generally very little help.

I know they have a lot of exciting ideas already planned for the summer feature that will cover July, August, and September. The first was April, May, and June. They are bringing such a variance of people on board for it so like I said, I only see each issue getting better and better! The industry can be isolating, and the way sex workers and the queer community is often portrayed in media is unflattering and does not showcase us as multidimensional hard working, creatives. This magazine was SO needed and I think will really help more people outside of the industry to have a better understanding of us, while bringing the industry even closer by giving us a space to share our thoughts, struggles, and advice with each other.
