Welcome to DA and thank you for allowing us to share the story of Lust & Leashes. Let me first ask the origins of this idea and how Lust & Leashes began.
Daddy Meraki: Thank you for having us. Lust & Leashes began on the hopes of just two women wanting to create a space that we felt safe in. We had brainstormed this idea almost a year ago, but never took real action until Daddy Nia was suspended on Twitter. She felt very defeated by this setback and this motivated us to create a community where we would no longer be in fear of this potentially happening again. For some, twitter is our entire portfolio. When that’s taken from us, it’s easy to simply give up and restart.
With so many SW accounts being suspended, we quickly realized that this dream was shared by many of our peers due to the lack of security on Twitter. We wanted it to make it happen; we wanted to create a space where sex workers were welcomed and not hidden in the shadows. Even with our knowledge in discord and digital art, it took months before we were able to even pre-launch this community to our mutuals. After a lot of trials and errors, we were finally confident enough to share what we poured our entire heart and soul into. And now, we are blessed with such a phenomenal and supportive community to continue reaching even higher with the help of our lovely members.
sbs: Prior to this venture, did you two work together in any capacity? And what was it that worked so well between you to allow you to create such an amazing community?
Goddess Nia: We’ve never worked together but knew each other through the Findom community on Twitter. Although we lacked a previous work relationship, we were able to create an amazing community that is Lust and Leashes through a lot of communication and understanding. We handpicked Dommes that we believed to be a good fit to our community and with that, we shared our vision with them and were gratefully blessed with their love and support to really bring this to life.
sbs: I was made aware of Lust & Leashes by the beautiful Goddess Valentina Fox, who has teased and tormented me for years so perfectly. In addition to her, how many other Dommes have joined Lust & Leashes, and what is the goal moving forward as the site expands in terms of bringing in other Dommes?
DM: We currently have 33 talented and vibrant Dommes in the server who all have unique and individual styles. With the addition of all these Dommes, we hope to be inclusive to all styles of Dommes for our subs. Being able to match our subs to their preferred style ensures they get what they signed up for. With our selection of Dommes, we hope to give them a better chance to showcase their talents to give back to not only them, but the subs who also show us endless amounts of love and support to build long term D/S relationships.
While we’re building D/s relationships, we are also excited to develop better and intimate relationships within the Domme community. With Twitter, there was a glaring lack of collectivism within the community. Lust & Leashes, hopes to break that and open a space where Dommes are not only able to meet subs, but meet and engage with each other on a more personal level to build a closer connection with their “coworkers.”
sbs: For Dommes that have not yet joined, what would you say to draw them towards joining Lust & Leashes as a community?
GN: We are a referral only server, meaning a Domme who is currently a member has to refer you to be considered when invites are open. We only ask that members refer Dommes who are not only mutuals, but a good fit to the community as team players with good and genuine intentions.
sbs: As a submissive who just recently joined, what can you share of the joining process to those who have not yet submitted their application? And what awaits them within the confines of Lust & Leashes?
DM: There is a strict application process for all subs. Subs must verify age using their ID with their D.O.B (with the option to blur out any other information they want concealed), send an entry/monthly fee, and read and react to the current terms and conditions on the first page.
sbs: You have an upcoming (though it may have past when this feature is published) live event called Sip & Simp. What can you share of this event, and possible future ones like it?
GN: With each Lust & Leashes’ LIVE events, we will tease a line up of Dommes who will participate in the event. Most events will have a particular theme to them. For example, Sip & Simp will be a LIVE event with our Dommes and subs on cam participating in a consented intox session with multiple drinking games. Future events that we hope to plan are regular Sunday LIVE events that have happened previously and more future themed events so all parties with particular kinks can participate. We also hope to plan solo LIVE events for our Dommes to highlight them and let them take over the stage.
sbs: What comes next for each of you beautiful Dommes as Lust & Leashes grows? Do you have more in store for the Femdom community, and if so, what can you share by way of hints of what is yet to come?
DM: Not only do we want Lust & Leashes to grow, but we will endlessly support our Dommes to grow with it. This is a journey for our community and for everyone along for the ride. I think it’s more than common to feel alone on a platform such as Twitter, but with Lust & Leashes, we hope that with the love and support each of us have given and will always give to each other, we can grow individually and collectively in a safe space.
This is only the beginning of our vision. Our vision was started with 2 people and now it is expanding and developing with each and every one of our members. It was never limited to just the admins’ visions. We knew that with adding more members to this journey, we wanted to give them a voice to be seen and heard to build a community that they have always wanted as well. Lust & Leashes would not have thrived without the feedback and help of our respected members. We are continuously listening to our members to plan more for those to join us. You can expect more discord Fem/Findom discord features like our infamous reimbursement bot, LIVE events, games, and even SFW content to bring all aspects of our life altogether in one space.
