Goddess Bardot Smith: Thanks for the invite, and for reviewing so many of my clips over the years.
sbs: It is our pleasure, indeed. For those that somehow don’t know your story, can you please tell our readers how you first entered the world of Femdom, and a little about your journey to becoming the amazing Goddess you are today?
GBS: Well, I’ve always had a dominant edge. I noticed early in life how polarizing it was in people. It either terrified them or made them fall in love with me. I’ve done a lot of work in what people would consider highly-competitive fields and I usually found my way in creatively. So I’ve always been a Femdom in a way. I started appearing in what you might call “the scene” when I began creating content a few years ago.
sbs: Would you say you are dominant in all aspects of your life, or is it more a “persona” for your Femdom work?
GBS: Beautiful and intelligent women find ways to press our advantages, out of necessity or desire. I’m no different in that way. This is just a way of life for me. I like being in control. It’s not so much about dominance in relation to other people as it is that I’m consistently optimizing. I only ever switch that off if I am with someone I am equally confident has things handled. So….rarely.
sbs: Rarely indeed. You are obviously a woman of exceptional beauty, and I’m sure everywhere you go men are falling over themselves to gain your attention. Has it become routine that men will submit, or is there still a bit of a thrill when they become your willing and obedient servant?
GBS: Radical submission is always thrilling. Not all men are courageous enough to bring themselves to that point but the catharsis is palpable. I enjoy consistent admiration and service as well. There is a lot of space in female-led dynamics for development and evolution over time. But I will always love when a man eviscerates himself for my pleasure. Just gut your accounts for me. That’s romance.
sbs: Is there a specific type of slave that is drawn to you, Goddess, and do you have a favourite type of slave that you enjoy playing with and training?
GBS: I love to play with toys who have admired positions in society. There’s an element, especially through financial domination, of subversion. I am supposed to want to pursue these men’s attention and favor, but I’ve never had to work for it. Rather, I channel their focus on me into my favor. It scratches the itch for power exchange. The more intelligent and articulate a slave is, the more I enjoy the course of submission…and the trail of artifacts it creates.
sbs: That segues into my next question very nicely. If you could have one celebrity, or well known person, kneeling before you, willing to do anything to serve your wishes, who would it be, and why?
GBS: I don’t follow contemporary celebrity culture and rarely know the names of actors unless I happen to know them personally. But I’d let Rebel without a Cause Marlon Brando carry my luggage.
Beyond that, well dressed men who never let me touch my wallet are always more attractive than men who think I should work for their association. Celebrity isn’t a useful concept for me so much as utility is.
sbs: That is more than fair, all men, regardless of perceived status, should be serving you Goddess. Financial domination is obviously woven into everything that you do as a Domme, but what other fetishes and kinks do you particularly enjoy?
GBS: I love trance and hypnosis. I guess that’s taboo now with all of the payment processor hysteria. My manner and voice are naturally inducing, so once I developed those skills, all of my work has elements of persuasion and conditioning. I enhance the effect visually and reinforce it in my movement. In clips where I offer specific warnings about induction, the effect can be overwhelming. But even in my writing alone, there are traces. I love the effect of psychological binds, tightening over time. I leave out the weapons and men find them hard to resist. I love feeling the tension of fear that creates, too. That’s art. My other fetish interests seem to radiate from there. Sessions are different than online, naturally.
sbs: You may actually be in my head today, Goddess. I was about to ask that very question. How does your online persona compare to the Femdom Goddess that a slave will kneel before in a real time session?
GBS: I am very much myself online. But my focus is on business and my interests. In addition to running bardotsmith.com and psychokink.com and a few other adult sites, I have vanilla and cross-over work to handle. I like to celebrate my victories online as well as distribute information and interact with my network (both of which are becoming increasingly hard these days with all the censorship online). With those committed and endowed enough to pursue time with me in person, I enjoy ease. Of course, every dynamic varies. I am able to be selective in who receives my focus. It is a rare gift to find mutually enriching experiences.
sbs: To be selected to be in your presence would be something a slave would never forget. For those looking to make that all so important first impression, what advice would you offer them?
GBS: You have one chance to register on my radar. It’s truly hard for men to follow their impulse to pursue submission because they are conditioned to feel like they have to be dominant or they’re failures. This leads to a lot of internal conflict in subs. Too often this internal conflict is projected onto Dommes as anger. That’s a bad look, but it’s common. To make a positive first impression, approach after you’ve sent a tribute and only when you send tribute. It’s extremely easy to weed out communications from people who don’t respect that dynamic. The best impression comes from those who’ve really grappled with their urge to submit to me and finally make a major move.
sbs: Sage advice, and I know that conflict some as I’m sure our readers do. I believe it’s a sign of maturity in a slave when they finally realize the superiority of women and embrace it. You’ve obviously seen and done a lot in the world of Femdom. What’s something on your Domme “bucket list” you still have yet to experience?
GBS: There’s always going to be something. All experience gives way to new perspective which gives way to new desire.
