Angelique Venom: First of all, thank you for inviting me to stand alongside some incredible dominants on your blog. I have enjoyed reading about some amazing people here and I can’t wait to see who else you interview in the future. Learning about how other people’s journeys have evolved is so interesting to me because all of our stories are so unique!
It took me a while to figure out the source of my power as a young person. My experience as a teenager with boys was that they found me intimidating and I didn’t really know how to harness that energy. I guess I felt quite unattractive because of that for a long time. Little did I know!
I started working in a strip club at 19 and I would say that is when I came to fully understand my powerful and dominant nature, and how it interacted with my sensuality. Learning to dance erotically gave me a huge confidence boost and I realised that I had a mesmerising quality that hooked people in. I often found myself playing a very dominant role in the private rooms of the club, which I realised was different than the other strippers. This piqued my curiosity and I did a little research and asked around about places where I could learn to become a Dominatrix. A friend of mine introduced me to a dungeon where I shadowed several amazing Dommes before stepping fully into the world of Femdom.
Later as I began to explore my queerness, I found that not just men, but submissives of all genders are very drawn to my power. I hold a great sense of responsibility with my dominance because I recognise how powerful it is. As I grow into my 30’s my power only seems to grow, along with my own sense of self. I am happier and more fulfilled than I have ever been and it keeps getting better!
sbs: Are you naturally dominant in every aspect of your life, or is Femdom more a roleplay for you when interacting with submissives?
AV: I am certainly a naturally dominant person and that has always been the case, however Femdom as a profession was the entry point for me integrating kink and dominance into the rest of my life in a more defined way. I am very sexually fluid and I am attracted to all genders, however I mostly dated straight vanilla men as a young adult so I didn’t have the opportunity to explore my kinky nature. One ex-boyfriend even asked me if I had some kind of sexual issue because I wanted to try blindfolds and restraints in bed!
When I discovered pro Femdom, my world really changed! For the first time I was able to explore pure dominance, as well as learning some incredible skills. After that I slowly began exploring kink in my personal dynamics too. For the first few years I had quite a big separation between my professional life and my personal kink journey. However as I get older and know myself better, I have become more of a lifestyle Domme alongside my work. It balances my life beautifully and feels very fulfilling to have more integration between the two worlds. They now feel like different parts of a spectrum rather than separate entities.
sbs: If you could have one celebrity, or well known person, completely at your mercy, willing to do anything you demanded of them, who would it be, and why?
AV: I am not big into celebrity culture, therefore nobody immediately jumps to mind. I am a very strongly sensual and energy fueled person so I actually have to meet someone in the flesh to know whether my primal desire to have them submit to me has been sparked. There are a few celebs that I find very attractive, one of which is Janelle Monae, however I can imagine us both fighting to be the top… which I am not opposed to with a beautiful Femme! AV: To me the perfect submissive is one who understands my sensual nature as an inherent part of my dominance, who appreciates and is stimulated by my intellect, and who finds that being in my presence makes them want to better themselves. I am not strictly high protocol, and I enjoy a submissive who will interact with me, but recognises where the boundaries of respect and servitude lie. My sensual nature does nothing to undermine my dominance and sadistic nature, this must be recognised and respected.
sbs: Do you prefer to break and dominate men who might resist, or use well-trained ones that are already broken in?
AV: It is always more fun for me to play with a submissive that has a little bit of character. I don’t tolerate brattiness in general, however a little cheekiness is entertaining for me. Training and moulding submissives myself is my favourite because I get to shape them and watch their journey unfold right in front of me. AV: I am a very sensual Domme, which is offset and balanced perfectly with a truly sadistic side. Because I am quite approachable and clearly very sensual, it is wise to understand that the sadist in me really is alive and kicking, I just don’t necessarily deliver it in an overtly threatening way all of the time. I very much have my own style, both in domination and also visually.

AV: When I have complete control of a submissive, I have a deep sense of my own power and a kind of calm excitement which is very difficult to describe. I do expect to gain complete control over the submissives that enter into an ongoing dynamic with me, however this takes different forms and different lengths of time. It is not something I will ever find trivial, regardless of how often I experience it.
