TWD: I grew up *vaguely* catholic. It was what my parents’ parents grew up with so it was passed down by default, but we were never really big believers. My faith and spiritually has evolved greatly as I’ve moved through life, and I do believe in a power greater than myself, but it looks a lot different now. That being said, I feel comfortable and actually quite enjoy the religious play. Something about churches and catholic iconography is very predominant in the goth aesthetic, which I enjoy. Think crosses, cathedral windows, stain glass, graveyards, altars… I love it. It’s easy to lean into dark or spooky fantasies with this. For the record, I don’t identify as Christian, catholic or religious.
