DommeAddiction: How long have You been a Dominatrix, and what was it that brought You to this role?
Domina Helena: Professionally for a little over a year, but I’ve always played with kink in My personal life with My partner. I also started off in the adult industry by working in Gentlemen’s Clubs for 7 years so I consider Myself a tease and denial specialist. During that time, I always maintained a sense of boundaries/control over those I danced for. Seducing the mind into doing what I want, is a huge rush for Me.
After dancing, I went into the corporate world, which was both a blessing and a curse. However, I can completely relate to the pressures one deals with in that world. Knowing these pressures allows Me to connect with subs/slaves and provide an experience that creates balance, escape and meaning in their lives. It made Me realize My deeper need for control and creativity.
DommeAddiction: Would You say You are naturally dominant, or is it more of a role play when You are in session?
Domina Helena: Naturally Dominant
DommeAddiction: What skills do You think a successful Dominatrix such as Yourself needs to have?
Domina Helena: I believe there is a myriad of skills needed. A passion for what you do is a must and being able read a person. A tireless work ethic. Creativity, networking, psychology, marketing and furthering your technical skill set.
DommeAddiction: Can You explain what makes a man want to be a slave?
Domina Helena: For some, it’s a deep seeded desire to experience freedom thru a relinquish of all control. For others, it’s a need to be of service and to make the Dominant happy.
DommeAddiction: What are Your favorite fetishes to explore with Your slaves?

Domina Helena: Yes. I prefer to play off of the energy in the room.

Domina Helena: Hard to say. What is cruel to one person is not cruel to another. Really just depends on what strikes that slave’s core. It can be as simple as a single word or look.
DommeAddiction: How do You know when You have truly broken someone and are completely in control of them?
Domina Helena: Control is always maintained but you can see it in their body language, eyes and how they breathe. Submission is really beautiful and it’s based on trust and a journey together.
DommeAddiction: Do any of Your slaves serve You outside of sessions? ie. real-life slaves in everyday life?
Domina Helena: Yes, but that is an earned privileged.
DommeAddiction: Have any of Your clients tried to reverse the power dynamic and top from the bottom with You?
Domina Helena: There will always be someone who tries. You always have to maintain your boundaries and protocol. I don’t play games.
DommeAddiction: Are the people in Your personal life aware of Your work?
Domina Helena: Yes.
